Magical Monstrosity Press is an online monster book and art gallery inspired by the look and feel of vintage role playing game books. I came up with the name some years ago and just liked the sound of it. I really had no idea what I wanted to do with it until I discovered the retro-clone community and the resurgence of interest in old-school role playing games. Over the last few years I've contributed artwork to various retro-clone publications and have finally decided to launch the site.

I enjoy drawing monsters. I also have a nostalgic love for role playing game books of the '70s and '80s and all things metal. This site allows me to share my horrific creations with others and hopefully keep me on a schedule of regularly producing artwork and building my portfolio. Sometimes I'll post a full-blown monster entry with an illustration, stat block and description. Other times, I'll just post artwork. Either way, I hope you enjoy the site and find some monsters to use in your own games.

Note that the site is still under construction and I'm still working on monster entry formats. The entries below have placeholder stats and text, but should give you an idea of what to expect as the site moves forward.
